History

1981-1985

Bros Pitta

Bruno’s passion for delicious food began while working in Belgium’s first kebab shop as a student. This sparked his interest in healthy, convenient ethnic food. Together with his brothers, he founded Bros Pitta, a franchise of restaurants selling pitta bread meals. The company ended its activities in 1984, but their vision for ready-to-eat meat remained.

IFS

Pittaman was founded as the first company in Belgium to specialize in ready-to-eat kebab meat. Thanks to contacts with the Jaffa pitta bakery in Amsterdam, Pittaman became a one-stop supplier for kebab restaurants. Their product line ranged from meat on cooking spits, pitta bread, sauces and spices to pitta ovens, pitta grills and accessories.

Gradually, the company shifted its focus to preparing ready-to-eat kebab meat. Soon enough, there was a need for a professional production process. Throughout the 90s, Pittaman worked together with an external company for the production of its kebab meat. Due to growing sales, Pittaman built its own factory in Schoten (Belgium) in 2000.

2000-2007

Daddy Cool

The demand for pre-cooked IQF meat rose and our production process scaled up accordingly. In 2005, the firm developed a new idea to add value to pre-cooked meat. The product? Ready-to-eat meals from around the world. Shortly after, the Pittaman brand was renamed Daddy Cool. The cooked IQF meals were a strong addition to our product line.

Expansion

The company enjoyed continued growth, and in 2010 the decision was made to enlarge our factory. In addition to adding offices, we also built extra manufacturing and storage space and a spacious tasting kitchen.

On this solid foundation, Daddy Cool is poised for a successful future.
